What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you register on our site.

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your username, primary email address, first name, optional last name, time zone, date and time preferences, and optional secondary or tertiary notification email addresses. When you use cron jobs or website monitors, we also store execution and monitor history such as timestamps, status information, duration, event details, and cron response output. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.


What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

  • To personalize your experience. Your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs. We use your first name to personalize your account experience, including displaying it on your logged-in home page or dashboard.
  • To improve our website. We continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you.
  • To improve customer service. Your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs.
  • To process transactions. Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested. Your first name, optional last name when provided, and primary email address may be used for billing records and receipts.
  • To send periodic emails. Your primary email address may be used to send account, verification, security, billing, receipt, cron job, monitor, and service update emails. Secondary and tertiary notification email addresses are optional and are only used when you want Cronless to send cron job or monitor notifications to more than one address.

Do we use cookies?

Yes (Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computers hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, support account functionality, understand usage through analytics, and support checkout or billing flows where applicable.

We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use Cronless, improve the service, and measure usage patterns. Google Analytics may collect information such as pages visited, browser and device information, approximate location, referrer information, and usage events.


Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for service operations, analytics, or other lawful uses.

When billing features are used, we may share billing-related information, such as your first name, optional last name when provided, primary email address, subscription details, and transaction details, with Stripe for checkout, billing portal access, receipts, invoices, payment processing, failed payment handling, refunds, subscription management, tax handling, fraud prevention, payment disputes, and related billing operations.

We do not sell your personal information.


Data Retention

We keep account information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide Cronless. We may retain billing, transaction, security, tax, and legal records for longer where needed for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal compliance, or legitimate business purposes.

Cron job and monitor logs are retained according to the active membership plan. Free accounts receive 30 days of cron log history, up to 100 entries per cron. Paid accounts receive 12 months of history, up to 1,000 entries per cron or monitor. The oldest records are automatically deleted when either the time or entry limit is reached. After a paid membership ends, the Free limits apply and older or excess history may be deleted during the next cleanup.

If you close your account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal information where reasonably possible, subject to information we need to keep for legal, billing, security, or operational reasons. Deleted records may remain in encrypted or access-controlled backups until those backups rotate or expire.


California Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

As part of the California Online Privacy Protection Act, all users of our site may make changes to their information at any time by logging into their control panel. Primary email and billing details are managed from General Settings under Billing Details. Optional secondary and tertiary notification email addresses are managed from Notification Settings.


Children's Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.
