Terms of Service

What is this?

The Terms of Service (TOS) are the rules and regulations that specify guidelines for using our shared cron job services. All use of our shared cron job services is subject to these terms. Please read them carefully and ensure that you understand and agree to all parts. Use of Cronless' services implies agreement with these terms!

Questions?

Any questions regarding this agreement should be sent to via the contact page prior to signing up for service.

Shared Hosting Terms of Service

Cronless provides cron job hosting to people all around the world. We have the responsibility to protect each client and provide them with the best service possible. The following guidelines were designed to ensure that our services remain of the utmost quality. Please read very carefully before ordering and/or using Cronless services.

Cronless Service Agreement

The Cronless Service Agreement is a separate agreement between Cronless and all customers. Please make sure you are in agreement with the following points and conditions, as well as our service agreement (in its entirety) before signing up for or using Cronless' services. Contact our support department for any clarifications.

Account and Billing Information

You agree to keep your account information accurate, including your primary email address and any billing details used for receipts or payment records. Primary email and billing details are managed from General Settings under Billing Details. Changes to the primary email address require email verification.

Secondary and tertiary email addresses in Notification Settings are optional. They are only needed if you want Cronless to send cron job or monitor notifications to more than one address, and they must be verified before they receive notifications.

When paid billing features are used, your billing details may be shared with Stripe for checkout, billing portal access, receipts, invoices, payment processing, failed payment handling, subscription management, refunds, tax handling, fraud prevention, payment disputes, and related billing operations.

Refunds

Cronless offers a 30-day money-back guarantee for your first paid subscription period. If you upgrade to a paid plan for the first time and are not satisfied, you may request a refund within 30 days of that first paid upgrade.

Later subscription payments and renewals are generally non-refundable by default. If a renewal was accidental, you may request a refund within 72 hours of the renewal charge. Cronless may issue the refund if there has been no meaningful use of the paid service after that renewal.

If a paid subscription payment is refunded, Cronless may immediately cancel or downgrade the paid access connected to that payment.

The 30-day money-back guarantee does not apply to accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, engage in fraud, cause harm, create excessive load, or are suspended, restricted, or terminated for policy violations.

Cancellations

You can cancel a paid subscription anytime from the Subscription page in your account by opening Manage Billing. Billing management is handled through the Stripe Billing Portal.

Cancellation prevents future subscription charges. Unless Cronless terminates the account for abuse, issues a refund, or handles the account differently, paid access normally continues until the end of the paid billing period.

Log History and Retention

Log history is limited by membership plan. Free accounts receive 30 days of cron log history, up to 100 entries per cron. Paid accounts receive 12 months of log history, up to 1,000 entries per cron or monitor. Cronless automatically deletes the oldest records when either the applicable time limit or entry limit is reached.

When paid access ends, Free retention limits apply and history beyond those limits may be deleted during the next scheduled cleanup. Users are responsible for downloading any history they need to preserve before it expires or before their membership changes. Log history is operational diagnostic data and is not intended to serve as a permanent archive or legal recordkeeping system.

Content

All services provided by Cronless may be used for lawful purposes only. Use of this service for transmission, storage, or presentation of any information, data or material in violation of any United States Federal, State or City law is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: copyrighted material, material we judge to be threatening or obscene, or material protected by trade secret and other statue. The subscriber agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Cronless from any claims resulting from the use of the service which damages the subscriber or any other party.

Cronless will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of this provision, and reserves the right to deactivate and remove any jobs at any time for unacceptable use.

If Cronless suspends, restricts, terminates, or removes access to an account, cron job, monitor, or related feature because of abuse, fraud, harmful use, excessive load, violation of these Terms, or violation of Cronless policies, the user is not entitled to a refund.

System Resource Usage

If Cronless' system administration team determines that a customer's account is utilizing an unacceptable amount of system resources, Cronless may temporarily deactivate the account in question. If Cronless' staff deems necessary, an eviction notice may be sent to the customer of an offending account providing them with ten (10) days in which to either change or delete the offending cron job. This only occurs in extreme cases.

Cronless will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of this provision. Because of the nature of this provision, each account will be considered and analyzed individually.

Support Abuse

At Cronless, we always treat our customers with respect. In return, we expect the same from you. If our staff feels that you are consistently addressing them in a demeaning or rude manner, your account may be suspended and you may be asked to take your business elsewhere.

If Cronless suspends, restricts, terminates, or removes access to an account, cron job, monitor, or related feature because of abuse, fraud, harmful use, excessive load, violation of these Terms, or violation of Cronless policies, the user is not entitled to a refund.

Server Abuse

Any attempts to undermine or cause harm to a Cronless server or customer of Cronless is strictly prohibited.

Cronless will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of this provision. Customers found in violation of this provision will be subject to account deactivation.

If Cronless suspends, restricts, terminates, or removes access to an account, cron job, monitor, or related feature because of abuse, fraud, harmful use, excessive load, violation of these Terms, or violation of Cronless policies, the user is not entitled to a refund.

Failure to Follow Policies

Failure to fully comply with these terms is grounds for account suspension, restriction, termination, and/or cron job or monitor deletion.

We reserve the right to remove any account without prior notice. Our normal policy is a warning first, and account deactivation the second offense, but no warning is required.

If Cronless suspends, restricts, terminates, or removes access to an account, cron job, monitor, or related feature because of abuse, fraud, harmful use, excessive load, violation of these Terms, or violation of Cronless policies, the user is not entitled to a refund.
